Community Involvement

Giving Back to Those in Need

A company is only as good as the community in which it operates. Without the support and friendships that we’ve built over the years, Beran Concrete would not be where it is today. Giving back is one of the most important things we can do. We never forget – people make communities great.

Wingnuts Community Benefit (Wingnuts Community Foundation)

The idea to help give back to the community through an event of this nature was spearheaded by the Wingnuts team’s three owners; Nate Robertson, Steve Ruud, and Gary Austerman. The format of the event is designed to allow the Wingnuts to develop a long-lasting relationship with a large group of non-profit organizations in the area and to help them raise much needed funds. Some of the non-profits included are Make-A-Wish Kansas, Down-Syndrome Society of Wichita, Alzheimer's Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Girls on the Run, YMCA, Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, and Susan G. Komen.

St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway House

The St. Jude Children’s Research is the only institution of its kind solely devoted to leading the way the world looks at, treats and defeats pediatric cancer and other deadly childhood diseases. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from more than 70 countries around the world. And because St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
